Oh boy oh boy oh boy! I can't tell you how great my weekend was! Best. Weekend. Ever.

I haven't seen my Mom and Dad for some time now. I mean, I see them when they're home, but they just aren't home as much as they used to be. My Mom stopped staying home with me during the day, and that made me sad. I miss her. And then our weekends have been busy lately. Fun, yes, but busy. So this past weekend was a welcome relief. Guess what we did?! We went hiking! There's this really cool park near our house, called Eagle Creek, and it has tons of trails and a gigantic reservoir. We went in the morning and walked along the fitness trail (for a warm up). Then we hiked along another trail and walked along the water. I met lots of dogs, which was fun until I walked by a Boxer who apparently was having a bad day because he tried to eat me for lunch. I'm okay; I just ignored him and kept walking. I don't mess with bullies. The hike was lots of fun, and a great workout for my little legs. But the best part of the day by far was when I took my first swim! Yep, that's right. It sort of happened by accident; I saw a duck and I just jumped in after it. Next thing I know I'm swimming back and forth cuz Dad wouldn't let go of my leash. But had he let go, man, I would've caught that duck. I just know it.

Thanks Grandma Connie and Grandpa Dave for my backpack! It came in handy!

My first time swimming! Gotta get the duck, gotta get the duck....

Me and Daddy.

Me and Mommy.

Walkin' through the woods.

I love the outdoors!

So thirsty after our hike. My camping gear came in handy!

Whatchu lookin' at?

Of course our adventure wore me out, so I did a lot of napping the rest of the weekend. But I did get to help Mom and Dad plan their next vacation, and I kept Dad company while he read outside.

So sleeeeepy.

Dad, you gonna drink that or am I?

Sounds like he had a real adventure out in the woods and on the trails....If I had been there I might have let go of the lease to see you catch the duck...no doubt you are a better swimmer that a old duck that doesn't give a quack..........Glad you had fun with your family...
