What a crazy weekend! Grandma Connie and Grandpa Dave were just here for a long weekend to celebrate Dad's birthday and to cheer on the Packers in the Super Bowl. I was spoiled to the max, of course, and everyone else had a fun weekend playing games and hanging out. From what I hear, Grandpa Dave got a little upset because everyone was beating him at Monopoly Deal (a crazy, addictive game my Aunt Jennifer taught my Mom). But he cheered up quickly when the Packers won the Super Bowl!!

We got about four more inches of Snow on Saturday. But before the storm hit, I was able to get in a bit more practice time for "Ice Capades: featuring Chase 'Go Lightly' Stelsel." Check it out:

Here are some pictures from my weekend. Enjoy!

Dad opens one of his birthday presents -- beer!
He let me help him open this one.
Dad, this one's for me, right?
Ohhh, I don't feel so good.
I think I had one too many.
Helping Grandma Connie set up her brand new laptop....
....while Mom talks to Granddaddy on the phone.
Dad's ready for the big game!
I'm ready too!
It's a family affair for the Super Bowl!
Touchdown!! Packers score!
Too tired to watch the rest of the game. I crashed after the first half.

Remember back in early December when I told you winter showed its face a little earlier than usual? Boy, was I jumping the gun. Mother Nature has not been kind lately, and I have the snow-covered snout to prove it.

Mom and Dad have been stuck in the house with me for the last 48 hours due to a pretty bad ice storm. I've never seen such a thing! I'm pretty used to trudging through snow, but this ice stuff has me boggled. It looks like snow; it tastes like snow; but it doesn't feel like snow. Just look at how I slip and slide across the ice rink that used to be my yard:

Don't get me wrong -- I'm not complaining. I've loved having my parents here with me during the day, although my naptime has been severely shortened since they've been home. I get to doze by the fire, snuggle with mom, and help Dad with his work. I'm a good supervisor.

Here I am taking Mom for a walk....before the ice storm hit of course.

And here I am watching TV snuggled up with Mom. We had to be really quiet while Dad was working.
I love sitting by the fire. Gotta warm up after being outside.

On second thought, maybe I'll just lie down for a bit.

Just resting my eyes. I swear.
Zzzzzz......zzzzz.....zzzzzz....
I expect they'll both be going back to work soon enough, and I'll be left to hold down the fort by myself. But I don't mind. I'm looking forward to having the house to myself again. :)
