The world it is a'changing... but I stay the same. So professes the girl who didn't own a cell phone until well into the 21st century; well after her peers had broken/lost/upgraded at least three phones; and well after most third-graders had become mobile phone carriers. In fact, the day my husband dragged me into a Cingular store to welcome me into the 21st century, a dad was buying his two illiterate, Pampers Pull-ups-wearing boys their own phones. I know the family plans offered by wireless providers are good deals and all, but give me a break. Is it really necessary for a kid to have his own cell phone straight out of the womb? Should I think about registering for a kid-friendly phone in blue or pink when it's time for me to go through the baby thing? Will my baby's first words be "Can you hear me now?"
I digress. Yes, the world it is a'changing. And I can't stop it, and I can't slow it down. Sometimes I feel like I'm barely keeping up, like I'm always running behind the bandwagon but just can't quite grasp it. Well, this is my attempt at playing catch-up. My plunge into the depths of the World Wide Web. A speck on a quite large radar of people out there trying to be heard. I don't have anything important to say. I'm not saddling my high horse or polishing my pedestal. This isn't one of those blogs. This is just my way of sharing what's going on in our life. So welcome; we look forward to hearing from you.
Enjoy!
