About a month ago Mae, Ford and I spent a few days in Kentucky while Jamie and the kids were in town. It was a house full and maybe a bit chaotic at times, but it was oh so worth it! We haven't had all the kids together since July 2013, so it was really neat to see how they played and interacted together. It warmed my heart to see all the cousins together.

Ford was thrilled to have a playmate his age in sweet EmmaJane. Those two were tied to the hip; Ford kept saying they were best friends.

We weren't able to get out to do much because it was so dang cold, but Grandaddy took us all to Gattitown one night for pizza and LOTS of playtime.

And of course everyone got in some snuggle time with Mae! :)

It was a wonderful trip for all of us. My only regret is that we can't do it more often!

Mae is 2 months old now and doing great! Other than a setback last week when she was in the hospital for 5 days for RSV (yikes!), for the most part she's eating and sleeping well.

In the hospital.... :(

We have a nice little routine going at home, and Ford still loves his baby sister. She has just started smiling and cooing, and she's becoming more alert. Looking forward to a few more weeks with her before it's back to work.

Mae has been doing great! She's up to 9 lbs. 4 oz. (65th percentile) and 21.75 inches (75th percentile). Although there's some resemblance to Ford in her face, we think she looks most like her momma. :)

She's a great sleeper (thank goodness!) and loves to snuggle. So we spend most of our days curled up together, and I'm loving every second.

It's been an exciting (and busy) month! December just flew by as we all adjusted to being a family of 4. Between doctor's appointments, school/work, and visits from family over the holidays, the time really got away from us.

Ford loves his baby sister! He's always kissing on her and wants to know where she is at all times. What a good big brother!

Ford meets Mae for the first time

First bath

Christmas was pretty low key. We spent it at home -- just the 4 of us. Ford loved opening his and Mae's presents. The next week, the Stelsels arrived and got to meet Mae and celebrate Christmas. My parents came up after New Year's and we used that time to celebrate Ford's 3rd birthday.
