I can't believe Ford is 3 months old today! The time is flying by so quickly. He changes so much from month to month. And I love to see him learning and developing into a little boy. Everything he does just brightens my day.

Likes at 3 Months:
  • School! He looooves daycare. He plays a lot and enjoys watching and talking to the other babies. There are seven of them in his class: 6 boys and 1 girl.
  • Bed time. We've been really lucky that Ford sleeps well at night. He has yet to wake up in the middle of the night. And most mornings we have to wake him up to get him ready for school. I hope this trend continues, but I know it can change at the drop of a hat.
  • Talking. When he's awake, he talks and sings almost constantly. It's the cutest sound in the world!
New Discoveries:
  • He's started grabbing things in front of him.
  • He can lift his head 90 degrees off the ground when he's on his belly. He's not holding it up for long, but I imagine it won't be long now before he's using his arms to hold himself up.

We had a great Easter weekend with Dave and Connie. Ford and Chase got spoiled, as always, and the rest of us had fun playing games and tooling around town.

Dave and Connie came in late Thursday night, so they got to keep Ford on Friday while David and I went to work. David only worked a half day, however, so he spent the afternoon with his family doing what they do best: shopping. :)  From what I hear, Ford was a trooper and didn't make a peep during his shopping trip.

After I got home from work, we all went to a nice dinner at Noah Grant's Oyster Bay and Grille in Zionsville. The restaurant is a quaint, elegant place in the heart of Zionsville Village. The food was excellent, and once again, Ford was an angel.

On Saturday we spent most of the afternoon playing games. Connie and Laura took advantage of the nice weather by taking Ford and Chase for a walk.

Snuggling with his Easter dino from Uncle Kirk and Aunt Laura

Easter presents from Grandma and Grandpa

Dave shows Ford his Easter gift from Connie — a musical beer stein.

Kirk and Laura sleepy from a lazy afternoon of games and drinking. (Okay, okay. The wine bottle was mine. I just made Kirk hold it for the picture. ha)

Beating the boys at Settlers of Catan :)

Of course on Sunday we went to church for the Easter service. Ford slept through the singing but woke up in time for the sermon and Communion (during which he proceeded to add in his own 'Allelulias' and 'Amens'). He also flirted with the people around us, smiling at the ladies around him. He also participated in his first Communion (sort of). David took him up with us to receive a blessing, which made me cry (gosh, I'm such an emotional basketcase!). Then we came home for a quick lunch before Dave and Connie headed home.

Happy Easter to you and your families!

*VIDEO*
The day finally arrived. It was back to work for me, and off to school for Ford today. I shed a few tears when we dropped him off, but of course he was fine. After lunch I couldn't stop watching the clock, waiting for 5:00, because I was so excited to go pick him up.

He had a great day playing with his new friends. He was absolutely pooped when I picked him up. He fell asleep on the way home, woke up long enough to tell me about his day, then crashed again.

A successful first day!

Ford attended his first party over the weekend with (none other than) the Butler crew. We were invited to our friend Ryan's 30th birthday party at the JW Marriott (the newest and nicest hotel in downtown Indy). Well of course David was going to go no matter what. And I was dying for some social interaction. So after finding out other kids were going to be there we packed up little man and headed downtown.

We had a really great time hanging out with our friends and watching the Final Four in our private room off the bar at the hotel. So much fun, in fact, that we stayed out waaaaay too late. Ford was soooo good though. He was just chillin like he was one of the boys. Everyone took turns holding him....even the guys! Every time I came back from the restroom another guy was holding him. So cute!!

First family outing

Talking to Dad

Checking things out from Mommy's shoulder

Hanging out with Chad

The crew

Not sure if this was before or after David bought shots. I'm guessing after. ;)

Anyway, happy birthday, again, Ryan! Thanks for the awesome party!
