Visiting Daddy's office
as you probably know by now, things have been a little different at our house lately. mommy says i'm growing like a weed (but not as quickly as her growing belly, from what i can tell). so what's going on in my world?
  1. i had my check-in at the doctor last week — weighed at 28.5 lbs (40th percentile) and measured just over 3 feet tall (70th percentile).

  2. i'm happy to report that i completely mastered potty training quite a while ago, which makes all of our lives a little bit easier. i've even started using the potty all by myself (well, at least when mommy dresses me in shorts that are easy to pull up and down). i don't always make it through nap time, and definitely not through the night, but being down to one diaper a day night is good by me.

  3. i discovered new shows on netflix, so mickey mouse has taken a backseat to dora the explorer, barney, thomas the train, chuck & friends, and bob the builder. i'm particularly obsessed with dora and barney right now (which drives my parents crazy).

  4. i can name just about every truck i see on the road: garbage truck, digger, tractor, school bus (still my favorite), cement truck. i can't get enough of "big trucks" and i always have to point them out to mommy and daddy when i see one, even from a distance.

  5. i still love to be active and run my parents into the ground. right now my favorite activity is "occer" (soccer). daddy even bought me a ball and goal, but i'm perfectly happy using ANY and ALL of my balls for "occer" practice. one ball just isn't enough.

and that's just a little bit of my 2.5-year-old world. i'm a happy little boy who loves to sing and dance and play and talk and laugh and help with everything. just recently i've started pointing out "baby" in mommy's belly. i still tell my parents i'm having a baby sister, but we'll see about that. in the meantime, i'm practicing my big brother skills on "chay." :)
