Big things are happening in the Stelsel household these days. If you haven't already heard, David and I (after serious consultation with Chase) have decided to sell our home. After many weeks of long talks, research, and serious planning, we've decided that now is the time for us to take the next big step in our life journey. The plan is to build a new home in Zionsville, a great, quaint suburb on the northwest side of the city (not too far from where we live now). We signed the papers last week that locks us into a contract to build a new home pending sale of our house. We already have the house picked out and the lot reserved. Now it's time to kick this house into shape so we can sell it quickly. I'm ready to pick out paint colors and kitchen cabinets in the new house! :)
So, what does all this mean for the Stelsel family? Well, it means lots of work! We spent the entire weekend packing things up and cleaning. We moved quite a bit into storage already, including all our pictures, some furniture, and all of my books and most of David's. Needless to say, I don't like it. Our home is looking less like our home and more like an empty (albeit bigger!) living space. But like they say, home is where the heart is, so I'll deal.
Chase, on the other hand, is having a harder time with it. He was so stressed out all weekend from all the boxes and moving. He didn't eat all day yesterday and not once did he leave our side all weekend. Poor thing. :(
With the exception of Chase, we're all very excited! We're keeping our fingers crossed that we can sell our house and all will go according to (my) plan. In the meantime, David's keeping me calm, I'm avoiding HGTV, and Chase is keeping a close watch on his food bowl and his coon.

I drove the big U-Haul van! I'm thinking of changing careers....
Thank goodness for Kirk! He was a HUGE help loading and unloading our stuff.
Chase is depressed. He doesn't like change.

Love the idea and I think this is a good time for you to make your next big move. Good luck on selling the house you live in now. I sure hope Chase doesn't get to depressed, maybe if you tell him there will be bunnies in his new back yard it will help him calm down, oh! I forgot that gets him excited, oh well it's worth a shot. You look good in the truck but not sure if that is what you want for a new career or not you know you would have to learn a new language. It's good to have Kirk there to help you. Good luck on the sell, the purchase and the move.
