My Weekend: Puppy Perspective

All week long I sleep, sleep, sleep
in anticipation of
the best two days of the week.

But this weekend was different, you see,
‘cause instead of two days with my parents,
I got three!

Saturday was cooold,
and the sun melted our snow,
but that didn’t keep me from border patrol.

And when that was done
I chased some birds,
then came in to warm up in the sun.

Sunday I watched football with Coon
but I think I fell asleep,
‘cause next thing I knew it was late afternoon.

I played with my tennis ball
and Hedgy and rabbit,
until I got tired of chasin’ ‘em all.

I chewed on my bone on Monday
and found a good hiding place for it,
but my parents found it anyway.

Mom and Dad kept their noses in books,

so I got to watch TV for a change;

Animal Planet was off the hook!

And now I have a good long nap in store
so when Saturday hits
I’ll be ready for more!
