I spent yesterday with some of my sisters.....my THETA sisters. It. Was. Awesome.

It was a long overdue reunion. I hadn't seen most of them in many years; some not since we graduated in 2004! We had plans to get pedicures, maybe go to Wine and Canvas. But we ended up spending the day and night at one of the girl's houses because we were having so much fun just catching up over wine and food. We laughed. We recounted what we've been up to for the last 9 years. We told stories about our children (and maybe husbands...ahem). We talked and talked and talked, sometimes about serious stuff, and sometimes about silly things. But it was magical all the same.

Now, we did make one outing.....to our sorority house! Someone suggested we stop by to see it because we had heard they'd made some changes. So we drove up, rang the bell, and some very sweet Thetas gave us a tour. It was so fun (and funny), and brought back a lot of great memories.

I will admit: I was a little nervous about seeing the girls again, in the same way I was nervous about seeing my old girlfriends at my high school reunion. What if our paths had diverted so much that we didn't have anything to talk about? Well, of course that was NOT the case. At one point very late in the evening we were all piled up on the couches sharing blankets, and I looked around and felt.... at home. It was like being 20-year-old sorority sisters all over again.

Thank goodness some things in life never change.
