From what I hear, he was an angel on the road and at the Stelsels'. David reports he didn't make much of a fuss in the car and slept most of the way. When I spoke to Dave, Connie, and Boppa last night they all praised Ford's good behavior and easy nature while he was away. I have to say, that's a relief to hear. I was a little worried how he would be after such a long drive and being off schedule. You just never know how babies will react! Fortunately, he was easy as pie.
The Stelsels invited a bunch of friends and family to the house to meet Ford for the first time. He also attended their church on Sunday morning, where all the elders ooohed and aaahed over him. :)
Meanwhile, I took a trip home to surprise my mom for her birthday. And boy was she surprised! She thought I was in Wisconsin with everyone else. hehe.... I got her good! We celebrated Saturday night with dinner with the Kings. It was good fun. I survived being away from Ford and David with frequent texts and emails with pictures.
We all had a nice weekend visiting our families. But we're glad to be home together again! :)

So happy that Ford had a good trip and was good for Daddy. Can't hardly wait to see Ford and all the Stelsel's in 2 weeks, always fun when we are all together.

Looks like a fun weekend for all of you! How nice you could surprise your mom, too! I look forward to the day when I randomly walk into my parents' house without them knowing I was coming -- need to plan that for next year! :)
