Progress on the house is trucking right along. Last we heard, they were only two days behind schedule, so not too shabby considering all the rain we've had lately. We're told they should start drywalling very soon. The last time we were there they were finishing up the plumbing and electrical wiring.

David and I have started meeting our neighbors, which is exciting. We met the husband next door to us and the young couple directly across the street. I can't wait to move into a neighborhood where we'll actually know and be friends with our neighbors. Word on the street is that at least two other couples who are building on our street are pregnant, too! So that should be fun! I'm looking forward to meeting other young moms and making new friends. I see many playdates and BBQs in our future. :)

Here are the latest pictures from the last two weeks!

Getting ready to start the second story (garage view)

(View from back)

And voila! We have two floors!

Checking out the interior for the first time :)

In Dana terms: space wrap. But it's probably insulation (?). And we have our doors and windows installed!

Starting to lay shingles. And the brick is just waiting to go up.

Standing in our new kitchen with the living room behind. We already have our fireplace!

Kitchen and "morning room" (basically the casual dining area). Love all the sunlight we'll get in here!

Looking at the front entrance and staircase to the upstairs.

Yep, looks like a basement. I do quite like the window. A little sunlight goes a long way in a basement.

Stay tuned for more! :)
