Forecast Calls for Showers

I guess we've reached that time in pregnancy when the fun really begins: baby showers! :)

Connie and David's Aunt Sharon hosted a lovely baby shower for me and Bubba on Oct. 1 in Wisconsin. David, Chase, and I drove up for a weekend visit and celebration. Don't quote me on this, but I think this might have been the very first time we've ever visited Wisconsin without Kirk and Laura along. We had an excellent trip, and it was....refreshing...to spend time with David's family with just the two of us.

Unfortunately, my camera battery died at the shower, so I didn't get any great pictures. :(  But take my word for it: it was quite lovely, lunch was excellent, and Bubba received some generous gifts from David's family.

Thank you again, Connie and Sharon, for a great baby shower! Bubba is one lucky little man, and David and I are so blessed to have such amazing family.

Big gifts of the day included our high chair, swing, and Pack 'n Play! And of course Bubba got lots of other great stuff, too.
