The verdict is in. Well, actually it's just my allergy report, but it's still a big deal in my little doggy world. Turns out I'm allergic to 27 different things! Fortunately, I'm not surrounded by all those things, but still, no wonder I'm so itchy all the time.

According to the test results, I'm allergic to a variety of trees and grasses, dust, all kinds of food (especially beef, duck, wheat, and poultry), and a bunch of other stuff that my doggy brain can't comprehend. The good news is there's treatment. The bad news is that treatment includes lots of shots. :(

Dr. Dave (my favorite vet) is ordering the vaccines and he'll show Mom and Dad how to inject them. I'm not too thrilled about it, but at least it will help me feel better. And I've switched foods, which is already making a difference. I don't know what it's called, but Dad keeps telling me to eat my baby sheep. Sounds gross, but I do what I'm told. It is really yummy. I wonder if that's what Mom and Dad's roasted lamb tastes like. Hmmm...

Anyway, I'm happy to know what's wrong with my skin and know how to relieve it. Mom and Dad say I'm expensive, but I know I'm oh so worth it. Just look at me! A dog this handsome, sweet, and smart doesn't come cheap. :)

  1. I'm so glad they have found out what is wrong with you, Chase! Although I'm cringing at the thought of your parents having to give you shots! Good luck, Dana and David!

  2. Dog-gone I'm sorry about all that!! Maybe you should move a little further South. It would be a little warmer for you, and might just make you feel better. I could take you fishing and riding around with me on my mower and I'm sure that would make you feel better. Well you think about it and we will talk about it the next time I see you. Granddaddy 'D'
